Flowers & Weeds - DSC00010

Our first flowers came up at the very end of February. Of course, they were wild crocuses. (We never saw early snowdrops emerge.) Next came the grape hyacinths. Turnip flowers followed soon thereafter. In the meantime noxious weeds were starting to take over... "So, what is a weed?" I wondered. Some of them weeds are mighty pretty, you know! Oh, and if you are curious about the domain name, well many of the weeds are actually quite edible. A salad of Russian thistle, Prickly lettuce, and Dandelion leaves may not sound so good, but apparently it is!
